Hope for the City


Hope for the City is an organization that locates corporate surplus and delivers it to those who need it the most. Many of these items (food, medical equipment, basic staples) would otherwise be destined for the landfill, despite the fact that what’s being cast aside is far from garbage. Bolster decided to follow the story of a container of medical equipment through Hope for the City’s program where it was collected from United’s Alina Hospital and redistributed to Hospital Escuéla in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Hope for the City has been able to utilize the resulting documentary film for fundraising as well as garnering attention and general awareness for the truly amazing work that they do everyday.
